Rita T. Hindley

Rita T. Hindley (nee DelGiorno) of Collingswood, NJ (formerly of Springfield, PA) passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026.

Rita was the daughter of the late Dominic and Rose Marie DelGiorno. Born and raised in South Philadelphia, she graduated from St. Maria Goretti High School in 1964.

After high school, Rita became an executive assistant at Triangle Publications under Walter Annenberg. It was there she met the love of her life, her husband, Jim. Rita and Jim enjoyed a loving marriage that lasted nearly fifty years. They lived in South Philadelphia for three years before moving to Springfield to raise their family. Rita took pride in making everyone who came into their home feel safe, welcome, and well fed. She spent her years leading up to retirement as a Learning Assistant at Scenic Hills Elementary School in Springfield, working with children with special needs.

Mother of Lauren (Dan) and Matthew (Becky), "Grandmom" to Mason, Noah, and Paige. Survived by her husband, Jim, siblings Rosemarie and Michael, predeceased by her brother Dominic. Also loved by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation Friday, March 13, 2026, at 10am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Avenue, Springfield PA 19064, with Mass to follow at 11:30am.
