On May 22, 2006 of Barrington, NJ formerly of Audubon age 63 yrs. Beloved husband of Ethel (Nee. Staff). Devoted father of Brenda Simpkins (Brian), Tracy Shisler (Robert), and Gary L. Hawkins, Jr. (Mandi). Cherished son of Grace M. (Nee. Albertson) and the late Robert P. Hawkins, Sr. Dear brother of Robert Hawkins, Jr. Loving Pop-Pop of Holly and Noel Simpkins, Bobby, Ashley and Tyler Shisler, and Haley and Emma Hawkins. Also survived by his loving and loyal puppies Bubba and Shelby. Hawk was a Life Member of the Barrington Fire Company No. 1 and the West Collingswood Heights Fire Company. An avid hunter and outdoorsman, Gary was a member of the Interboro Gun Club and the Salem Sportsman’s Club. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Friday evening from 6 to 9 PM at the POPIOLEK FUNERAL HOME, 400 Clements Bridge Rd., Barrington, NJ and again on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 at the Barrington First Presbyterian Church, 401 Clements Bridge Rd, Barrington, NJ 08007, where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 am.
