On March 11, 2014, formerly of Haddonfield and Somerdale, NJ. Age 89yrs. Born in Butler PA. Devoted father of Linda Kovacik (William Hoche), Mary Anne Walker (Patrick), Brian K. Selfridge (Carole Lamb), and Patrick A. Selfridge (Julia). Loving grandfather of Geoffrey, Jr., Kimberly, Justin, Benjamin, and the late Scott and Patrick. Great-grandfather of 3. Mr. Selfridge proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, and retired from the U.S. Army with a rank of Sergeant First Class after 24 years. He bravely served with decorations on the front lines of the World War II in the South Pacific theatre and the Korean War. Bob owned and operated “Your Friendly Neighborhood Phone Man” for many years. Later in life he enjoyed his grandkids Justin & Ben, He liked bowling & buffets! He was also a member of the American Legion. Robert Victor Selfridge is the last of his generation of 10 brothers & sisters. Relatives and friends of Bob are invited to a Memorial Service & Luncheon on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at starting at 11 AM at the Coastline Restaurant, 1240 Brace Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
