Virginia Martino, age 83, of Erial, NJ, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 30, 2008. Born in Houston, TX on April 27, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Willie Joe and Florence Anna Rost. Mrs. Martino retired from the Thrift Drug Store and prior to that was a homemaker. She loved being with her family and enjoyed all family activities. An avid reader, she enjoyed cooking, music, taking care of her grandchildren and laughing. She truly had a zest for life. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Martino was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years Anthony Martino, her siblings Buster Rost, Mary Martin, James Rost and Evelyn Vickers. Mrs. Martino is survived by siblings Norma Wilkinson of Pearland, TX, William Rost of Schulenburg, TX, Robert Rost of Alvin, TX, son Anthony Martino and wife Mary, of Mt. Ephraim, NJ, daughter Carol Carr and husband James of Westmont, NJ, daughter Norma Lee and husband Richard of Elkton, MD, daughter Rose Connard and husband Kevin of Royal Palm Beach, FL, grandchildren Thomas Martino, Teresa Murphy and husband Daniel, Mia Martino, Casey Gialanella and husband Joseph, Lisa Lee, Adam Lee, Tyler Connard, Taylor Connard, great-grandchildren Daniel, Sean and Arianna, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and an extremely special extended family of loving, devoted neighbors. A Mass of Christian Burial and interment were held privately at Virginia’s request.
