Gerald "Jerry" L. Dilks

On October 10, 2012, surrounded by his loving family, of Ship Bottom, NJ, formerly of Barrington, NJ age 81. Beloved husband of Patricia A. (nee. Cain). Devoted father of Sandra Dilks and Gerald L. Dilks, III (Tracey). Loving grandfather of Lawrence Dove, Tricia Dove, Gerald Dilks, IV, Christopher Dilks, and Jessica Dilks. Great-grandfather of Victoria Dove. Dear brother Robert Dilks (Sue), and Ronald Dilks (Ann). Predeceased by his parents Gerald, Sr. and Madeline Dilks. Also survived by many nephews, cousins and close friends. Mr. Dilks is a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force. He later attended School to become a draftsman and began a contracting business where he worked in the South Jersey area for over 40yrs. After retiring, Jerry moved to Long Beach Island where he lived for the last 22yrs. He was a life time member of the Barrington Rod and Reel Club. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday morning from 8:30 to 10:30am at the POPIOLEK FUNERAL HOME, 400 Clements Bridge Rd, Barrington, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am at St. Rose of Lima RC Church, Kings Highway and Fourth Ave, Haddon Heights followed by Military Honors.
