(Nee Brogan) age 91 yrs., passed away peacefully on December 15, 2011 in Ocala, Florida. Born on Aug. 1, 1920 in Camden NJ to Edith (Eastlack) and Patrick Brogan. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson HS in Camden and Strayer College of Business in Philadelphia, PA. Edith and her late husband Bill lived in Barrington, NJ before relocating to Ocala. They lived 68 loving years together. Bill and Edith were involved with the South Jersey Antique Auto Club, participating for many years in various activities. Edith volunteered as a P.T.A. parent at Culbertson School in Barrington where her children attended. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting items for her family and friends. Upon moving to Ocala, with her daughter Pat, she started making quilts and donated them to hospitals and homeless shelters. Edith also enjoyed attending senior citizen events and made many friends. Her family looked forward to her ‘secret recipe’ cheese pies. She is survived by her children William L. Maxwell (Sandy) of Pilesgrove, N.J., Patricia A. Sowle (Jim) of Dunnellon, FL, Kathleen N. Maxwell of Incline Village, NV and Robert J. (Kathleen) of Currituck, NC. Along with twelve grandchildren William (Rick & Candy, Cory, Duke, Susan & Daryle), Patricia (Kathy, Jim & April, late Nancy), Kathleen (Julie, Bryan, Molly) and Robert (Cody, Rebecca) and four great grandchildren Christopher, Lily, Bevan, and Ava. Edith was predeceased by her parents; husband William, son-in-law Vic Chludzinski, and grand-daughter Nancy Chludzinski. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday morning from 10 to 11am at POPIOLEK FUNERAL HOME, 400 Clements Bridge Road, Barrington, NJ, where a Funeral Service will take place at 11am. Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ. Donations may be made to the Hospice of Marion County, 3231 SW 34th Avenue, Ocala, FL 33474.
