Elizabeth "Betty" M. Fehlinger

(Nee Hartman) On March 5, 2011 at her home in Barrington of 55 yrs is now singing with the angels in Heaven, age 82 yrs. Beloved mother of William L. Fehlinger (Patricia) of Frederick, MD, and RuthAnn Fehlinger of Barrington. Also survived by one granddaughter Kathryn L., sister Margaret Park, sister-in-law Elizabeth A. Fehlinger, many loved and loving nieces and nephews, her former husband William R. Fehlinger of Mays Landing, and her beloved Chihuahua and constant companion Sophie. Betty retired in 1999 after more than 20 yrs as a Secretary in the Camden County Fire Marshal’s Office. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Barrington where she served as an Elder, Deacon, Sunday School teacher, member of the Women’s Assoc., and her first love…singing in the Choir and playing in the Bell Choir. Betty was a member of the Women’s Club of Barrington, Barrington Republican Club, involved in both local and county politics, Barrington Historical Society, Barrington Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and a founding member of the original Woodland School PTA. She was a devoted sports fan, especially the Phillies and Flyers, and an avid reader. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday evening from 7 to 9PM and again on Saturday morning from 9 to 10 am at the First Presbyterian Church of Barrington, 401 Clements Bridge Rd, Barrington, NJ 08007 where a Funeral Service will follow at 10am. Interment Colestown Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ. If desired the family requests memorial donations to either Lighthouse Hospice, 1040 N.
